SPVOLT HELPS NORDIC CUSTOMERS SOLVECHARGING CABLE COLD RESISTANCE ISSUES
Background of Nordic Customers' Needs
Winters in the Nordic region are cold, making charging cables prone to stiffness and breakage. A local new energy equipment distributor looked for charging cables suitable for extreme cold to provide quality charging solutions for Nordic families.

Solutions
Material Upgrade - Basic Cold Resistance Guarantee
Chose cold-resistant TPE as the outer sheath material and added 3% silicone antifreeze. Tested: the outer sheath remains soft and elastic at -30°C, reducing low-temperature damage risks.
Structure Optimization - Enhance Cold Resistance
Adopted a multi-layer structure, adding a 0.8mm glass fiber insulation layer between the insulation and outer sheath. Combined with wire spiral winding to reduce heat loss and improve flexibility in the cold.
Process Improvement - Strict Quality Control
Added a -25°C 48-hour low-temperature aging test during production to check cable performance. Optimized the extrusion process for uniform outer sheath wrapping, ensuring stable cold resistance.

Result
- User Experience: In -25°C to -15°C Nordic winters, the cable stayed soft for smooth operation, with no stiffness or breakage.
- Market Feedback: The customer gained a competitive edge. Within 3 months, the repurchase rate rose by 20%, and the complaint rate dropped below 1%.
- Performance Verification: Verified by a third party, the cable met Nordic standards in low temperatures. Its cold resistance was reliable, supporting the customer’s market operations.
